New option for fSONA's top of the line free space optical wireless product line allows the SONAbeam M to use of Power over Ethernet (PoE)

10 December 2013 - Vancouver, Canada - fSONA Networks, manufacturer of the fastest optical wireless products on the market today, today announced a new power option for their award-winning SONAbeam® M free space optical wireless links. The SONAbeam M series can now be ordered with or upgraded to use Power over Ethernet (PoE).

"SONAbeam with PoE saves time and money during installation by eliminating the need for separate cabling and, in some instances, separate contractors to run both power and Ethernet," remarked fSONA President and CEO, Andrew Grieve. "This reduces time to deployment and increases ROI for our customers who want to avoid delays and get connected quickly."

A SONAbeam M system adapted with the PoE kit can be connected to any standard network port via the included injector. Three versions of the SONAbeam PoE kit will be offered - for North American, European and Universal power cord types.
