| Expanding Company Transitions Corporate Headquarters To Nation's Capital
McLean, VA – July 5, 2005 - fSONA Systems, the preferred provider of optical wireless for the military and homeland
security markets, today announced the opening of its new corporate headquarters office in McLean, VA.
The new headquarters is conveniently situated in McLean, Virginia at 1750 Tysons Boulevard, located at the intersection of the Capital Beltway
(I-495), Route 123 and the Dulles Toll Road and will allow fSONA to be in close proximity to its customer base.
“Northern Virginia in particular and the Washington D.C. area in general is a great place to do business. Many of our top partners and
customers are located here and we wanted to be as close to them as possible,” said fSONA’s Chief Executive Officer & President,
Sunny Taylor. “fSONA’s focus for the immediate future is to significantly grow the business and placing our headquarters in the midst
of key customers and partners is part of an overall strategy that will see the company focus on our strengths in secure wireless networking. Our
SONAbeam optical wireless systems are in active use, connecting the nation’s capital, at locations such as NOAA, the VA, OAS, PAHO, OFHEO,
the US House, multiple secure DoD sites, and commercial campuses throughout the DC metropolitan region.”
The previous headquarters, located on the west coast in Richmond, BC, houses fSONA’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and the
location will continue as a base for manufacturing and engineering, while the new headquarters will house sales, engineering, technical &
customer support as well as finance and marketing functions.
“There is a wealth of talent available in the region and fSONA has already taken advantage of this by hiring new staff to support our
government customers and integrators based nearby” said Taylor. “We intend to grow the federal sales, marketing and engineering
support team in the US over the next six months, while simultaneously continuing our expansion into EMEA.”
