SONAbeam™ 1250–S Addresses Enterprise Bandwidth Gap With Carrier–Class

Communications Association (WCA) and United Telecom Council (UTC) annual
events the release of the SONAbeam™ 1250–S Free Space Optical
(FSO) system designed to provide Gigabit Ethernet communications at 1250
megabits per second (Mbps).
The SONAbeam™ 1250-S is a carrier–class product that will benefit
carrier, service provider and enterprise customers who value quality network
equipment. Engineered for top performance in any environment, the SONAbeam™
1250–S features a rugged housing providing environmental protection in
all weather conditions, redundant lasers operating at 1550nm providing the
industry’s highest output power for reliable communications and
robust product design that allows the unit to operate equally well outdoors
or through windows.

frequency (RF) spectrum licenses and it is immune to electro-magnetic/RF
